About us
Tex Planet Global was founded in 2024 by Sourabh Kankaria and Abdul Basith. We manufacture apparel in India and Sri Lanka and supply fabric from mills across India, with offices in Chennai and Mount Lavinia.
Who we are
We specialise in knitted and woven garments, backed by centralised sampling, cutting, quality control and finishing. Our fabric business gives brands and factories access to India's textile clusters through a single supplier.
Buyers use us for finished garments, for fabric, or for both. Either way they deal with one team that controls the order from fabric to finishing.

Leadership
Founder and Director · India operations
Sourabh comes from a traditional textile family. He started at the family business, HK Fabrics Pvt. Ltd., established in 1985, where he learned the trade, visited mills across India and built direct relationships with them. He went on to launch ATI Global and Tex Planet Global, and leads our Indian operations.
Founder and Director · Sri Lanka operations
Basith comes from a traditional textile family and studied at Brandix in Sri Lanka. His background is in textiles and apparel manufacturing, and he leads our Sri Lankan operations.
